I’ve added almost 2,000 DVD screencaptures from “Pieds nus sur les limaces” / “Lily Sometimes”. Enjoy!
Hello, all! Ludivine’s long-awaited “Pieds nus sur les limaces” is set to be released on December 1st. The film was very well-received during the Cannes Film Festival, so hopefully it does well with the general public! I have a round-up of material for the film, including the poster and screencaptures from the trailer and two clips. I’ve embedded the trailer below, and you can view the two extracts here and here. Click on the picture thumbnails to see the rest of the images in their respective albums.
I will also have a new layout for this site soon, so stay tuned!
Happy June, everyone! I apologize for the delay on this, as Cannes ended some days ago, but I was out of town for the weekend. Ludivine attended a press conference for “Pieds nus sur les limaces”/”Lily Sometimes” with director Fabienne Berthaud and co-star, Diane Kruger. You can see the video below as well as a few high-quality photos of Ludivine arriving for the event! The video is well worth a watch — it looks like Diane and Ludivine do have excellent rapport, as suspected from the Grand Journal stills! Screencaptures and other Cannes catch-up will come when I have a bit more time.
Wonderful news! Ludivine’s film “Pieds nus sur les limaces,” presented as part of the Director’s Fortnight, has received the sidebar’s top prize, the Art Cinema Award. Along with a string of good reviews by both French and international press, it looks like the film has a bright future ahead of it.
Berthaud’s “Limaces” Leads Director’s Fortnight Winners
Fabienne Berthaud’s “Pieds nus sur les limaces” (Lily Sometimes) led the winners of the Director’s Fortnight section of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. Announced tonight in Cannes, Berthaud’s film – which closed the program – won the program’s Art Cinema Award, which was given by an international jury of independent cinema programmers. Starring Diane Kruger and Ludivine Sagnier as sisters coping with the death of their mother, the film is Berthaud’s second feature after 2005’s “Frankie.”
Ludivine was at a Cannes edition of French talk show “Le Grand Journal” yesterday with co-star Diane Kruger from “Pieds nus sur les limaces.” You can watch their interview promoting the film here, and I’ve also added stills and screencaptures from it to the gallery! Ludivine and Diane were adorable together — it’s easy to see how they played sisters!
Well, sort of. Ludivine’s upcoming film “Pieds nus sur les limaces” AKA “Lily Sometimes”, co-starring Diane Kruger, has been selected to close the Director’s Fortnight, a parallel independent section at the Cannes Film Festival. The premiere will be a red carpet event, so fingers crossed that Ludivine will be able to attend and that we’ll also see her out and about on the Croisette before then!
Many thanks to Marine for scanning this for us! The first glimpse at “Pieds nus sur les limaces” can be seen in the November 2009 edition of magazine Studio Ciné Live, and the scans are now in our gallery! Ludivine can be seen alongside co-star Diane Kruger. Also, the film has an English title as well: “Lily Sometimes”.
The August release date of “Crime d’amour” was released a while ago, and now Commeaucinema.com is reporting a release date for Ludivine’s other film shot in 2009, “Pieds nus sur les limaces” co-starring Diane Kruger. Unfortunately, the film isn’t slated for release until all the way in November of this year! Still, with Ludivine confirmed for “The Devil’s Double”, news shouldn’t be too slow waiting for her next appearances on the big screen.
I’ve found synopses for Ludivine’s two upcoming films on Cineuropa.org. It looks like the shooting schedules were back-to-back — a busy autumn for Ludivine! First is Pieds nus sur les limaces, where Ludivine will act alongside Diane Kruger. Shooting wrapped at the end of September.
Adapted from Berthaud’s eponymous novel, the film (co-written by the director and Pascal Arnold) centres on Clara (Kruger), who is happily married to a promising lawyer and lives in Paris. After the sudden death of their mother, Clara has to assume responsibility for her younger sister, Lily (Sagnier), whose extreme sensitivity makes her vulnerable to the outside world and prevents her from being autonomous.
The next is Une femme parfaite, which puts Ludivine alongside Oscar, Golden Globe, and César nominated actress Kristin Scott Thomas. Ludivine will be shooting until November 20th for this one.
Co-written by the director and Natalie Carter, the film centres on two women who work for the French subsidiary of a large US multinational. Isabelle (Sagnier) works under Christine (Scott Thomas) and while they appear similar and compatible, they are very different. They almost seem like lovers, but Christine manipulates Isabelle and steals her brilliant ideas, turning them to her own advantage. A ruthless battle gradually breaks out between them. Christine exploits her position of authority and becomes cruel. Publicly humiliated and almost crushed, Isabelle prepares to take revenge.
